USC University of Southern California Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television

Taylor Hollyer

Born and raised in Texas, I started music in 6th grade playing the Double Bass and have continued with it for the past 12 years. Graduating from The Juilliard School of Music in 2008 with a bachelors in music performance and a minor in music composition, orchestral music is second nature to me. I returned to Juilliard for my masters, and after a year decided to transfer to USC and study film scoring. I've worked with almost every major conductor in the classical field and studied with some of the worlds leading music pedagogues. Over the course of my music training I've had the privilege to work with some of the music industry's leading performers and composers including: John Williams, Renee Fleming, Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Itzhak Perlman, Wynton Marsalis, and many others.

Though I am comfortable writing in many different styles, my style best fits the genres of drama, fantasy, and video game music. That being said, I always love new challenges. I look forward to collaborating with both directors and video game creators alike. I hope to learn as much about your side of the creative process as you will learn about mine.
