I'm originally from Provo, UT and I received my Piano Performance degree at Brigham Young University. Although classical piano has been one of my focuses growing up, my main focus has always been placed on composition. From an early age, I began to write orchestral music and over the years, my style has been influenced by composers such as Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Debussly and Ravel as well as modern film composers like James Newton Howard, John Williams and James Horner.

As a performer, I have played with orchestras as both a soloist and a part of the orchestra. I have also worked as an accompanist for nearly ten years, allowing my do develop a connection to virtually every instrument in the orchestra. Although orchestral music is my strongest area, I am also able to adapt and compose in most styles required of me.

Working with a director to create a work of art is something that drives me forward. In the few student projects that I have worked on, the most exciting part has always been attempting to realize the director's vision. The opportunities in this program to work with young directors are so amazing and I hope to take advantage of that opportunity as I grow and expand as a dramatist in the film industry.
