I started composing at 15, and it didn't take long for me to be drawn to film music. I play piano and sing, as well as arrange for choral and a cappella groups. I just finished undergrad at USC last May with a BM in composition. Wanting to be a part of the SMPTV program is one of the biggest reasons I was interested in USC in the first place. I've done 2 student films at USC, and am in the process of doing an outside film project with one of those student directors. My first love is orchestral music, followed closely by choral, jazz, and big band. I'm very interested in the pop/rock/electronic genres although I have yet to score in those styles. Movies have been a huge part of my life, and nothing has given me a thrill quite like working with a director to create a unique synthesis of image and music.
