Clint Rusich

I have always been inspired by the feeling one gets at the end of a great film. Whatever emotion created stays with you for the rest of the evening, the week, or in some cases for years to come. I have aspired to be a part of this magic since I was 12 years old and I am very excited to be a part of the SMPTV program this year.

I enjoy trying to incorporate some memorable musical element into everything I write; some melodic fragment or sound that reflects the characters or emotion conveyed by a particular film. I feel that the score is like an unseen actor, capable of completely changing the audience's perception of a given scene.

I have enjoyed very much my collaboration with filmmakers. I am always amazed at how the process of looking for the right music as a team always produces more successful solutions than looking alone.
