Joel Kreimeyer-Kelly

I recently graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, with a degree in Composition, and have also studied at the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand. I love the challenge of writing for visual media and the opportunities it allows for collaboration in the creative process, and the variety of musical styles visual media allows for a composer. I enjoy listening to the music of James Newton Howard, John Powell, Ludovico Einaudi, Bon Iver and Sigur Ros.

I have previously written music for numerous feature and short length films, ranging from historical and war dramas, action/suspense thrillers, comedies, documentaries, trailers and animations, multiple of which have gone on to the festival circuit. I strive to fashion a cohesive bond between traditional orchestral material and orchestration and modern electronic sound production and manipulation, to produce lasting and memorable themes and effective underscore for your film.
